The Royal Agricultural Virtual Experience Starts Today
The first-ever virtual Fair will see free, live events happening throughout the day from November 10-14

Highlights for Tuesday, November 10
It's opening day of The Royal Agricultural Virtual Experience! By logging on to www.royalfair.org/virtual, Canadians will be able to access the magic of the in-person Fair, but from the comfort of their home or - for students and teachers! - their classroom. All digital content from The Royal is completely free to enjoy, and each day this week there will be new live experiences to engage with. Here's what on the schedule for today:
- 10:00 a.m. EST: The University of Guelph presents a conversation with Derek Vella, Director of the Guelph Food Innovation Centre. As a Red Seal chef with his master’s degree in food science, Derek Vella’s work has taken him to the world’s most interesting culinary destinations.
- 11:00 a.m. EST: The Food & Nutrition Forum Hosted by Farm & Food Care is normally an exclusive event that takes place at The Royal. This is your chance to experience it on your own devices. Perfect for those interested in food, nutrition, where our food comes from and how it gets processed along the way.
- 5:15 p.m. EST: The Burnbrae Farms Culinary Series brings you great cooking sessions with some of Canada’s best chefs. You can download recipes at royalfair.org/recipes and follow along. Starting at 5:15PM EST catch Chefs Taylor Parker, Michael Bonacini, Devan Rajkumar, Trevor Lui and Joseph Shawana.
- 7:00 p.m. EST: For fans of the hit TV series... Kicking off our Fireside Chats Presented by Henry Equestrian is Canadian actor Amber Marshall, star of the hit show Heartland, in conversation with Ross Millar from The Royal Rodeo. 7PM EST.
- 8:15 p.m. EST: Agriculture across the world is evolving with the times and it will be the youth that fuels that change. Tune in for a presentation from the Rural Ontario Institute called Rural Change Makers - Youth Mobilizing Rural Communities to Act On Issues that Matter.
